The Ministry of the Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, organizes the Second International Conference on Clusters.
The aim of the conference is to exchange experiences on cluster development policies, networking of the already existing and establishment of new clusters in the area of South Eastern Europe.

TII is a European independent association of technology transfer and innovation support professionals. The TII annual conference is the association's own major networking activity in its calendar of events, and like in Paris last year, they are looking forward to creating a vibrant meeting place for technology transfer and innovation support practitioners from across the globe.

Barcelona, 30 June - 11 July 2008
After a very successful first edition, with 60 participants from 24 nationalities, of which 97% have given high marks and declared that they would recommend the School, the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics has launched the second edition, to be held from June 30th to July 11th. With the same international panel of professors coming from academia, policy and cluster practitioners, and with the special contribution of the National Research Council of Canada and the Innovation Agency of Catalonia, that will present their experiences, this year edition puts the accent on Cluster Policy during the first week and on Cluster Management during the second.

The Competitiveness Institute is issuing a "Call for Expression of Interest" for the organization of its 13th Global Annual Conference to be held in 2010. After 2008 in Africa and 2009 in Europe we are now looking for applicants especially coming from Asia Pacific, but also outstanding applications from the rest of the world are invited to present their expression of interest.

The Asia Competitiveness Institute is organizing its Executive Programme on developing clusters and national competitiveness, designed for senior executives like national or local government, business managers with responsibilities for government relations or leaders of trade and business association. The Programme aims to inform decision-makers about the importance of microeconomic policy and the role of location in economic performance.

1st Pan African Competitiveness Forum
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 14-16 April 2008
African Union (AU) and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) will in collaboration with The Competitiveness Institute (TCI) host the 1st Pan African Competitiveness Forum (PACF) from the 14-16 April 2008. The Forum will bring together 200 African stakeholders involved in innovation and cluster based competitiveness initiatives.
Continuous efforts by very active stakeholders made possible to launch the Pan African Competitiveness Forum (PACF) officially with this event as the new continent-wide competence and action center for innovation and cluster based competitiveness approaches to national, regional and even continental economic development.

CLOE is organizing a cluster conference in Karlsruhe on February 26-27, 2008 under the theme: "Clusters Linked over Europe: Regional Innovation Strategies for Cluster Internationalisation and Global Competitiveness"
TCI Board representatives will be present at the conference and speak in one of the panels.
