The Urban Cluster Day in Barcelona is coming to its second edition. The very successful first conference in 2007 is promising an interesting repetition this year. 22@ is a close partner of TCI in Barcelona.

The SEZ organizes the European Innovation and Cluster Conference on Tuesday, 11th of December 2007 in Stuttgart, Germany. The conference aims at regional and European innovation and technology transfer decision makers and stakeholders.

A conference for creative clusters is taking place on November 9th-14th in creative districts across London, each of them dense concentrations of creative enterprise and cultural activity like the South Bank, the City Fringe, Soho/West End and the Exhibition Road.A full list of speakers is available at their website.

As part of the celebration of the Carl Linnaeus 300 year anniversary The Competitiveness Institute - TCI has been co-organizer of the Pan-African Innovation and Cluster Competitiveness Symposium in Cape Town, September 17-18. The aim was to enhance the efficiency of social economic activities financed by aid organizations, with business on commercial conditions. At the symposium representatives from 10 African countries as well as the African Union attended and discussed actions needed encourage new initiatives on cluster initiatives for poverty reduction and regional developments.

Qualitropic, only pole of competitiveness of French overseas, organizes an annual event aiming to gather the actors of the poles (French and foreign) and the local actors on the topic of innovation, research and development and competitiveness.

The XXIV IASP World Conference on Science and Technology Parks will be held in Barcelona on July 2-4, 2007. With the theme “Creative Jobs and Creative Companies - Key Factors for Growth and Competitiveness” focus will be on discussions regarding innovation, creativity and the role of the new knowledge workers as essential factor for growth.

The 2007 EBN Annual Congress will be held in Canterbury, Kent (UK) on June 20th-22nd. With the theme "Global Innovation Bridges: A New Generation of Business and Innovation Centres", the Congress aims to be the platform for discussions regarding the role that Europe can play today as a global actor and as an accelerator in innovation and small business development.

On June 11-13, the TCI supported regional conference Rural Clusters 2007 will be held in Akureyri, Iceland. Hosted by the Akureyri's Region Growth agreement, this three-day event with the theme "Small and Remote Communities" begins with a cluster tour of three North Iceland clusters - the Food cluster, the Renewable Energy cluster and the Wale cluster.

On June 14-15, the European Regional Conference on Innovation Journalism "Stanford after Stanford 2007" will be held at the faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana in Slovenia.

On May 22 this spring, the 3rd Competitiveness Forum, a national forum for cluster practitioners in Finland, will be held in Jyväskylä, Finland.
