"Clusters & Alliances for Development in the Latin-American Context"

El 3er Congreso Latinoamericano de Clusters tendra lugar del 26 al 30 de Mayo de 2008 en la ciudad de Chihuahua, Mexico. Seran cuatro dias de intercambio de experiencias y aprendizaje en una region que comparte muchos rasgos de su cultura y su historia. Alianzas entre actores del desarrollo economico, metodologias e instrumentos para la promocion de alianzas empresariales, politicas publicas para el impulso de clusters y estrategias en el sector privado para la integracion de clusters son algunos de los temas propuestos.
May 27th is not far away: The 3rd Latin American Cluster Conference (3CLAC) will start in Chihuahua, Mexico, a region with a long tradition in regional economic development.

The Ist Pan African Competitiveness Forum (PACF) has successfully launched a new continent-wide competence and action centre for an innovation and cluster based competitiveness approach to national and regional economic development.

This international study grew from the TCI 2007 Annual Conference in Portland-USA, and shows the benefit of cluster practitioners getting together, agreeing to work together and moving knowledge of clusters forward.

Barcelona, 30 June - 11 July 2008
After a very successful first edition, with 60 participants from 24 nationalities, of which 97% have given high marks and declared that they would recommend the School, the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics has launched the second edition, to be held from June 30th to July 11th. With the same international panel of professors coming from academia, policy and cluster practitioners, and with the special contribution of the National Research Council of Canada and the Innovation Agency of Catalonia, that will present their experiences, this year edition puts the accent on Cluster Policy during the first week and on Cluster Management during the second.

Internship, Summer 2008
The Executive office of the National Competitiveness Council of Armenia is seeking global and local market researchers. Under the direct supervision of the CEO of the National Competitiveness Council of Armenia, the market researchers will carry out research and analysis of global and local markets in selected sectors, industries and clusters.
