Piero Formica is Dean of the International Faculty of Economics of Entrepreneurship at the Emirates Center for Entrepreneurship, UAE, and Marie Curie Professor of Knowledge Economy and Entrepreneurship in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the University of Tartu.

Prof. Örjan Sölvell is Professor of International Business at Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) and Senior Institute Associate at the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness (ISC), Harvard Business School.

Silvano Bertini is Head of Department of the Economic Development Unit of the Emilia-Romagna Region in Italy. He is especially working for the implementation of the Industrial Research and Technology Transfer Program, whose main objectives are to consolidate the Regional Innovation System and a regional knowledge community for innovation; to develop the knowledge dimension in the productive clusters and improve their innovation capabilities; to consolidate "technological clusters", meaning a selection of innovative firms and research centres that can be the drivers of change and the various sector/technology areas; and to promote innovative clusters in emerging technologies, around knowledge organisations.
