The Desert Knowledge Symposium and Business Showcase at the Alice Springs Convention Centre has attracted a strong line up of speakers.

The Desert Knowledge Symposium is a forum to exchange ideas for the greater use of desert knowledge for sustainable growth. Desert Knowledge Australia, the Desert Knowledge Cooperative Research Centre and the Desert Peoples Centre joined to host this 2008 Symposium and Business Showcase

The Symposium will truly provide a great opportunity to showcase the work of desert knowledge organisations and build to the future. A strong element of the Symposium will be the consideration of Australian and International experiences in business and knowledge networks.

The Symposium will not only be interesting to desert expert, but also and especially for people working in remote/rural areas and communities. Discussions are also on to organize a special forum after the conference for the international participants.
