Regional Conference in Chihuahua

May 27th is not far away. It is the day when the 3rd Latin American Cluster Conference (3CLAC) will start in Chihuahua, Mexico, a region with a long tradition in regional economic development.

It was in Chihuahua where the first World Workshop on Clusters was organized by the World Bank in November 1997. Now, Chihuahua becomes again the site for an international event, this time focused on the Latinamerican experiences on Clustering.

You will find more details about 3CLAC at www.clusterslatinoamerica2008.com.
There, you will find an exiting program with a combination of worldclass presentations by recognized experts and leaders and the participation of private sector and government actors involved in successful regional clustering processes. Topics such as Competitiveness, Innovation, Infrastructure and Best Practices will be presented. In addition, the experiences of different regions will be contrasted for clustering efforts
in different contexts.

We have confirmed participants and panelists from over 16 countries and many regions in Latin America. We will have as honor guests the regions of Catalunya, Galicia and the Basque Country. Another interesting participation will come from the Hispanic community. Additional participants will come from the USA, Austria, Sweden and England.
