Open project for international cluster co-operation.
Through our activity “ClusterLink” at ZENIT (Centre for Innovation and Technology) we aim at increasing competitiveness for clusters through the further development of existing cluster cooperation and the setting up of new cluster links.
Starting point for our activities are clusters in our region North Rhine-Westphalia, which is the largest region in Germany with about 18 million inhabitants and known as the power house of Europe.
Clusters in our region are characterised by a strong economic impact, a high employment rate and a high innovation potential. Regional clusters belong to the following cluster topics:
• Health
• Medical research
• Food / nutrition
• Logistics
• Automotive
• Nano- and micro technologies / advanced materials
• Biotechnology
• Machinery / production
• Plastics
• Chemical industry
• Environmental technologies
• Energy industry
• Energy research
• ICT
• Media
• Cultural industry
Currently we are looking for partners to further develop or set up new cluster cooperation targeting the mentioned 16 cluster topics, which results in enhanced competitiveness.
Regarding our cluster activities we can look back on our long lasting regional and international experience. ZENIT is a public-private-partnership. Owners are a network with about 200 companies, the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia and a consortium of banks.
