Is the US still the most positive jurisdiction for founding and developing a business?A paper by Grant Thornton (an interntational group of financial advisors) on whether UK entrepreneurs need more support to build up a sustainable technology sector and if the US is still the best model to follow.
In Grant Thornton's second survey of technology businesses, a wide range of UK and US mid-corporate businesses were asked how they rate their trading environment. The categories included:
This data was then used to test the hypothesis that for technology entrepreneurs that the US is the more positive jurisdiction for founding and growing a business. They also sought to identify through the responses, key areas in the UK which need to be improved.
