Is the US still the most positive jurisdiction for founding and developing a business?
A paper by Grant Thornton (an interntational group of financial advisors) on whether UK entrepreneurs need more support to build up a sustainable technology sector and if the US is still the best model to follow.
In Grant Thornton's second survey of technology businesses, a wide range of UK and US mid-corporate businesses were asked how they rate their trading environment. The categories included:
This data was then used to test the hypothesis that for technology entrepreneurs that the US is the more positive jurisdiction for founding and growing a business.
They also sought to identify through the responses, key areas in the UK which need to be improved.
Moreover, opinion formers and informed observers of the technology world from both countries were asked their views.
