Australia's 2002 "Creativity Index" provides a new tool to evaluate a city's potential for economic and cluster development.

This report has ranked Australia's cities using a creativity index developed by U.S. Prof. Richard Florida and compared the results to those of U.S. cities.

This index measures an area's share of technological innovation, its diversity of populations, education levels and share of creative professionals.?

The information will be useful for regions that are looking to develop successful clusters in high-tech industries that depend on high levels of education and creativity.
