Seminar to be held on US Government Foundations in Latin America and Africa
A lunchtime seminar on "US Government Foundations: Making a Difference in Latin America and Africa", held by The SME Department and the Grassroots Business Initiative, will take place on March 27, 2007. The Seminar will provide further insight on the life-changing work of the Inter-American Foundation in frontier regions, programs delivered by the US African Development Foundation and why the IFC should partner with these.
Ambassador Larry L. Palmer, President of the Inter-American Foundation (IAF), is invited to lead the discussion on how the IAF work in Latin America and the Caribbean, and Rodney J. MacAlister, President of the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) will present the programs targeting the poor of Sub-Saharan Africa.
The seminar is arranged for persons with interest in how a difference is made in Latin America and Africa, and how the IFC can leverage its development impact by working with the Inter-American Foundation and the US African Development Foundation.
Lunch will be provided at the seminar, which will be held between 12:30-2:00.
