San Sebastian Symposium on Cluster Policy Renewal

Five European regions will participate in the TCI dialogue symposium on Cluster Policy Renewal that is to be held in San Sebastian, Basque Country, May 17-18 2007. The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism of the Basque Government is the host for the meeting.

Basque Country (Spain), Catalonia (Spain), Skane region (Sweden), Slovenia and Scotland (UK) are all regions with a relevant experience in the design and implementation of cluster policies. Each region is sending delegates representing Government (policy makers), private sector (entrepreneurs involved in cluster initiatives or clusters and industry associations) and representatives from “institutions for collaboration” (including cluster associations, universities, technological centres, cluster facilitators, etc.).

The event will be the occasion to strengthen relationship among the different participants at bilateral and multilateral level, and the outcome of the symposium will be presented here on the TCI homepage.
