World Conference on Science and Technology Park to be held in Barcelona

The XXIV IASP World Conference on Science and Technology Parks will be held in Barcelona on July 2-4, 2007. With the theme “Creative Jobs and Creative Companies - Key Factors for Growth and Competitiveness” focus will be on discussions regarding innovation, creativity and the role of the new knowledge workers as essential factor for growth.

Parc Tecnològic del Vallès, which not only is the first of its kind in Catalonia but also the home of the headquarter of The Competitiveness Institute, will be organising the event and is counting on the support of the whole network of Science and Technology Parks of Catalonia and of the public Institutions with competences in this field (Generalitat of Catalonia and the Spanish Government). The conference coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Technology Park.

Bengt-Ake Lundvall (Professor in Economics at the University of Aalborg)
Anthony Townsend (Research Director at Institute for the Future, Palo Alto)
