TCI 2008 Annual Conference will focus on deepening the understanding of the role of clusters as the key building blocks of a modern innovative economy.
As every year cluster practitioners from government, industry and academia will share their experiences in running cluster initiatives and programmes. Especially exciting will also be the two days of pre conference cluster tours to successful cluster initiatives in the region.
Key outcomes of the conference will be the sharing of experiences and technicalities regarding:
-
Clear methodologies around managing cluster programmes
-
Shifting the frontiers regarding the measurement and impact of cluster initiatives
-
Fine tuning the practical tools to be applied by cluster practitioners
-
Identification of the challenges and opportunities in running cluster initiatives and programmes
Being the first TCI global conference in Africa, we look forward to a particular emphasis on the role of cluster initiatives in emerging economies, and the sharing of lessons between cluster practitioners from both developed and developing economies.
