A word from the president
-----------------------------------------------------
I am pleased to announce the decision for the host of the 2006 annual conference. Lyon, France was selected from among three finalists, all of whom had excellent proposals. We are very excited about the proposed program and the initiatives related to the conference. A team from Lyon will present the program at our annual conference in Hong Kong in November.

We would like to thank the other two candidates, Cape Town and Dubai, for their efforts and hope to cooperate with them in other events in the near future.

Coming back to this year's conference ("Enter the Dragon: China's Emergence and International Competitiveness." Hong Kong, November 9-11), I would like to remind you that the early bird fee will be only applicable for registrations up to the 15th of September! So take your decision fast and register online at the conference website: www.tciconference8.org.

We strongly recommend you to also book your hotel well in advance as this is a very busy time in Hong Kong and airlines and hotels may saturate soon! The conference host has arranged special prices for you at the conference hotel Shangri-La. For more information please see the website of the conference.

Hope to see you soon in Hong Kong!

Alec Hansen
