Pascual Berrone
Professor, IESE Business School - Madrid
Pascual Berrone is assistant professor of strategic management at IESE Business School. Prof. Berrone earned a B.Sc. in business administration from the Universidad Católica de Córdoba, holds a senior degree in management and international business from the FUNCER Business School, and completed his Ph.D. in Business Administration and Quantitative Methods degree at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He is also an alumnus from IESE where he completed a PDG program. Before joining IESE Business School, Prof. Berrone held two visiting scholar appointments at Arizona State University and he recently was a visiting professor at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Prof. Berrone has extensive managerial experience from across Latin America, Europe, and the United States. Prof. Berrone's academic work has been published in international journals and he has been recognized on several occasions for his outstanding research. He is an active member of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management, Associate Editor of Family Business Review and a member of several editorial boards.
Emiliano Duch
ECEI Director, IESE Business School - Barcelona
Emiliano Duch was one of the pioneers in competitiveness development, having collaborated with Prof. Michael Porter in the first practical applications of the methodology. In 1994, he founded Competitivenes.com, the first consulting company exclusively dedicated to competitiveness reinforcement projects. He was as well the founding chairman of The Competitiveness Institute. As CEO of his firm he has personally lead more than 120 competitiveness initiatives of the almost 200 that the company has carried out in Europe and Latin-America. He has acted as advisor to Public Administration Institutions and Regional Governments, as well as for multilateral institutions like the European Union and the Inter-American Development Bank. He has given seminars on competitiveness to USAID, the IADB, and many national organizations. He acts as well as coordinator of the reduced editions of the BCSS that are held in Viña del Mar (Chile) with the Universidad Adolfo Ibañez, in Belo Horizonte (Brazil) and in Sonora (Mexico) with ITSON. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MPA from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
Christian Ketels
Principal, Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness - Harvard Business School - Boston
Christian Ketels is Principal Associate at Professor Michael E. Porter’s Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness and member of the Harvard Business School faculty. He is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Stockholm School of Economics and a Director at The Competitiveness Institute. Dr. Ketels has led cluster and competitiveness projects in many parts of the world. He is a member of economic advisory groups in Europe and the Americas and has written widely on economic policy issues. He is a speaker on competitiveness and strategy in Europe, North America, and Asia. His primary areas of research interest are competitive strategy, economic development, foreign direct investment, government and business, and the life sciences. He has a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Werner Pamminger
Managing Director of Clusterland Upper Austria - Austria

Werner Pamminger is an experienced executive and an international expert in competitiveness management for a number of years. After a couple of years in industry as a development and service engineer, Werner established the Austrian Plastics Cluster since 1999 (a plastic industrial network of about 400 contributing companies). Since 2006 Werner is the general manager of Clusterland Upper Austria Ltd., the Upper Austrian regional development agency for competitiveness management, responsible for 40 employees and an annual budget of about $7 million. He has a M.Sc. Automation engineering, and an M.B.A. from the University of Toronto.
Jørgen Rosted
Former Director , FORA - Denmark
Jørgen Rosted serves as an adviser for Government and private companies. Mr. Rosted served as Director of FORA, an independent research unit under the Danish Ministry for Economic and Business Affairs. He has been one of the most influential policy advisors in Denmark over the last two decades. Mr. Rosted served as Permanent Secretary in the Danish Ministry of Business Affairs and has held a number of leadership positions in the Ministry of Finance, for three years as the Director of the Economic Department.
