The General Assembly of members is the supreme body of TCI and meets generally once a year during the Annual Global Conference.

TCI Board of Directors governs, administers and represents TCI. Since October 2008, the Board of Directors elected by the General Assembly is: Juan Manuel Esteban, President; Alberto Pezzi, Secretary; Elisabeth Waelbroeck-Rocha, Treasurer; and the Directors: Alonso Ramos Vaca, Arthur Bayhan, Christian Ketels, Kevin Murphy, Klaus Haasis, Nigel Gwynne-Evans, Carlos Alvarez and Barnabas Nawangwe.

It is composed by relevant personalities from the world of politics, business and international institutions who played an important role in the application of cluster initiatives. Nominated by the Board of Directors, they are honorary members of TCI. Their role is to assist the Board of Directors in defining the guidelines of TCI activities.

Commissioners are nominated by the President and endorsed by the Board of Directors; they play special and advisory roles.

The management team is assigned by the Board of Directors and supports, facilitate and coordinates TCI activities and networking.

Here we are. Even if for some of us it seems it happened yesterday, last week TCI has celebrated its tenth anniversary.
That first conference, organized in Barcelona by something more than an informal group of cluster practitioners (already from all five continents and gathering some of the probably most knowledgeable people on a still young cluster theory), took place on 3-5 November 1998 and it could be considered TCI foundation.
