Scientific and Media Visualization: Virtual Reality in Sweden

With strong support and investment from the government, Linkoping University has helped spawn the high tech and growing cluster of Scientific and Media Visualization in Sweden.

Using virtual reality technology, companies such as Norrkoping Visualization and Interaction Studio (NVIS) and Unique Development Studios AB (UDS) are on the cutting edge of research in areas such as nano-physics, logistics, computer games and medicine. With a diversification of demand for its services throughout multiple industries and for highly specialized purposes, this cluster is not dependent on one sector of the economy and encourages companies within it to become highly specialized. Program Information
