Trish Brimblecombe

Associate Dean, Faculty of Business & Information Technology, Whitireia Community Polytechnic

Trish Brimblecombe has an academic and professional background in computing and business. She is Associate Dean in the Faculty of Business and Information Technology at Whitireia Community Polytechnic in Porirua City, New Zealand. Her role includes working on new business development and entrepreneurial projects. Trish has been involved in cluster development and facilitation since 1999. Her Master of Communications research project was a case study of the Wellington Business Clusters Project. Trish currently facilitates the Wellington ICT Cluster for Positively Wellington Business. She also leads the Wellington Education Cluster ICT Project Team. Trish represents Whitireia at MediaLab South Pacific, a collaborative research organisation, and is a full member of the New Zealand Computer Society. Her current research interests include the role of ICT in supporting innovation and collaboration in SMEs involved in clusters, and the development of models for more effective engagement between tertiary education institutions and cluster companies.
