Analysis of European Innovation Systems
This 2004 paper was presented by Jon Mikel Zabala Iturriagagoitia at the "Economics of Technological and Institutional Change" Doctoral Training Program, Maastricht.
Innovation Systems possess an analytical framework, which permits comprehension of the socio-economic structure of a territory. It involves analyzing the actors present, such as government, institutions, clusters and universities and the interactions which take place between them. This paper therefore aims to develop a methodology which helps analyze and measure these interactions in innovation systems. This methodology was then tested in a sector which is present in various European Territories.
