Workshop participants, MFG on Evaluation

Klaus Haasis and the team from MFG in Stuttgart received us and a group of TCI members working in the field of evaluation in their facilities on February 15 and 16 to discuss the next steps for the greenbook on evaluation, which will be presented at the annual conference in Portland this year.

Over the past year TCI members have gathered at various occasions to discuss and elaborate the idea of a Greenbook on Evaluation. The host of our annual conference in Portland (October 8-12, 2007) did agree to undertake the difficult task and to sponsor this Greenbook based on the outcomes of our discussions. John Hall from Portland State University will be working on it with a team of Advisors and with the help of TCI members to repeat the success of the first Greenbook on Cluster Initiatives.

Lars Eklund, TCI President at MFG, Stuttgart
During our workshop in Stuttgart we concentrated very much on conceptual issues and the structure of the Greenbook - a committed group of evaluation experts setting up a first outline. TCI has set up a virtual group to continue the collaboration and gather these valuable contributions. Further information can be requested at info @ competitiveness.org
