Clusters, Connecting possibilities in South East Europe
2nd International Conference on Clusters
Opatija (Croatia), 28 April 2008
The Ministry of the Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, organizes the Second International Conference on Clusters.
The aim of the conference is to exchange experiences on cluster development policies, networking of the already existing and establishment of new clusters in the area of South Eastern Europe.
The conference will be organized in a plenary session with four panels in key fields in cluster policies and cluster's development organization, clusters international networking, new technologies transfer and exchange of the best practices on the following topics:

Top-down and Bottom-up Approach to Cluster Development

Clusters Intersectorial Networking
-
Education - from potential cluster member to cluster manager

Cluster Development Financing Possibilities
It is expected that the Conference will be attended by some 200 participants -cluster managers from the South East European countries, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, entrepreneurs associations, chambers, regional and development agencies, as well as the European Commission representatives and the OECD experts.
TCI President, Juan Manuel Esteban, has been kindly invited to this 2nd International Conference on Clusters in Opatija and will present TCI and the "Lessons learned in the international context".
