Potential to Network Innovative Clusters in the Baltic Metropole Regions

This is the final report on the Baltic Metropolises Innovation Strategy Project (BaltMet Inno), a joint innovation project
of the capital cities in the Baltic Sea Region. The project aims at strengthening the role of cities as developers of innovation environments at local, regional, national and international levels.
Berlin, Øresund, Helsinki, Stockholm, Riga and Tallinn are the six metropolitan areas who participated in this project to produce a common innovation policy framework for the Baltic Sea Region and to create transnational metropolis-driven innovation networks. For example some of the BaltMet Inno activities aim at strengthening the innovation capacities of metropolises clusters and at developing clusters and networks in selected technological areas in the six regions of are presented.
This report gives an overview on the present state and perspectives on the innovative clusters or the regions and also on opportunities to network these clusters and network potential at other levels like the technology parks.
