This event started on the 13th November with a competitivity clusters Forum which has been organised by the Sophia Antipolis Foundation for the 4th consecutive year, and will conclude on the 14th November, with a session bringing together only the ministers and representatives of the European Commission.

The first day allowed to discuss themes of major importance for the development of clusters in Europe: financing, international cooperation, integration of small and medium sized businesses, development of new skills, etc. The result of these will be proposed, the next day to the politicians to feed their reflection and the elaboration of a common European policy of clusters. The document stemming from these works will then be proposed to the Council of the Competitiveness of December, 2008.
