TCI - General Assembly elects new Board of Directors in Cape Town
During the General Assembly meeting celebrated in Cape Town on 31 October 2008, TCI members elected a new board with few changes.
All the members of the past board were reelected with the only exception of Lars Eklund who, after 5 years serving in the board as director (2003-2005), president (2005-2007) and immediate past-president (2008), stepped down with the recognition of the General Assembly for his dedication to TCI.
The General Assembly also elected as directors two new members proposed by the Nominating Committee: Carlos Alvarez, operational head from CORFO (Chile) and Barnabas Nawangwe from the Makerere University (Uganda) who is also the President of the PACF-Pan African Competitiveness Forum Council.
