The 3rd Latin American Cluster Conference, 3CLAC, took place in Chihuahua, Mexico, the last week of May 2008. It was an event that fully met its objectives of advancing the cluster agenda in Latin America by promoting closer ties among cluster practitioners in the region as well as by facilitating an open exchange of experiences, results and methodologies. There were over 150 participants from 17 countries and over 55 presentations.

The Ist Pan African Competitiveness Forum (PACF) has successfully launched a new continent-wide competence and action centre for an innovation and cluster based competitiveness approach to national and regional economic development.

Hosted by Orkestra-Basque Institute of Kompetitiveness and Development and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of the Basque Country Government, in collaboration with TCI-The Competitiveness Institute, the event will bring together a range of government experts working on the fields of competitiveness benchmarking and competitiveness policy to exchange experiences and generate ideas.
