InterCluster2008 CONFERENCE

17-18 November 2008, Paris, France
The biggest European event for cluster cooperation expects to have around 800 participants from over 25 countries.
“For Europe to tap the full potential of its clusters, they must also achieve a critical mass and strategic orientation through more and better trans-national European cooperation, across national borders. This raises the prospect of generating world-class European clusters.”

The first successful conference held in Brussels, “Intercluster 2007”, brought together cluster leaders and representatives from the European Commission, with more then 25 countries attending. The aim is to develop intercluster relationships by sector at the European level in order to position European projects on world markets and boost European competitiveness in our global economy.

InterCluster 2008, the 2nd European gathering of cluster leaders and concerned political policy-makers, aims to :
- Review and outline the prospects of cooperation among European clusters
- Identify obstacles to cluster cooperation in Europe and draft proposals for government authorities
- Contribute to the European cluster culture

InterCluster 2008 will be organized jointly with Paris Region Innovation tour 2008 due to the shared interests and goals of the participants. The 4th edition of the Paris Region Innovation tour aims to be a platform for meetings and sharing ideas and has a great potential of business and partnership opportunities. For this event, six Paris region clusters are joining forces for the first time to present their projects.
Paris Region Innovation tour and Intercluster 2008 together make a single platform for meetings, exchanges and business among clusters, their members and the entire innovation ecosystem.
