We are constantly striving to keep the data of our members
updated. We therefore implemented a form on our website that
enables you to see and if necessary edit your details.
Our goal is to optimize networking among the members of the
Institute. Contact details will therefore be made available via
the web. If you want other TCI members having access to your

Baltic Sea Bioregion Forum

South Korea to develop 6 clusters across the country

During a meeting held Thursday June, South Korean Commerce
Minister Lee Hee-beom announced that his government will invest
an annual 100 billion won to develop six industrial
next-generation clusters across the nation.

Funding provided to promote New Zealand's health IT cluster

New Zealand's Economic Development Minister, Jim Anderton
recently announced new funding to assist the New Zealand Health
IT cluster to build up the capability of its companies in an
effort to significantly accelerate the growth of the sector.

Bush plans to recruit more biotech companies in Florida

The governor of Florida, Jeb Bush announced the plan for an
expansion of the Scripps Research Institute to Palm Beach County
during the BIO 2004 convention in San Francisco. Bush's big goal
is to persuade biotech firms to take advantage of proximity to
Scripps by locating on or near its planned campus.

Ulrich Harmes-Liedtke, Economist, PhD, Partner of Mesopartner
ParG with fourteen years experience in research and consultancy
on cluster promotion and Local Economic Development in Europe and
Latin America. Main focus of current work: Development and
dissemination of the PACA method (Participatory Appraisal of
Competitive Advantage) and training of local consultants and
stakeholder. PACA is being used to launch local economic
development efforts all over the world. In Latin America PACA
exercises are launched in Brazil, Bolivia, Dominican Republic,
Ecuador, Nicaragua and Peru.
Jose Sanchez, Chamber of Commerce, Manizales in Colombia
(identification and promotion of Cluster since 2000 ). He is
working in the development of clusters like milk products, art
craftmanship, forest, tools and consumer electronics.
Paulo Rodriguez is Technical Director of the CONSEJO NACIONAL DE
COMPETITIVIDAD (CNC) in Quito - Ecuador. CNC implements the
"Agenda Ecuador Compite", an assembly of policies and actions
around different strategic lines. They built a network model of
joined competitiveness and poductivity ("ReCyProCo") to develop
and sustain the associative behavior in Ecuador.
