Summer vacations are approaching unusually nice this year. Why this? Because the Lyon and Rhône-Alpes team already at this stage are able to present a fairly complete annual conference program on the website. If you move fast you can use the early bird rate for the registration. More than half of the 400 seats are already booked.

For next year the Board of Directors is very close to taking a decision on the conference organiser for our 10th anniversary conference. Several candidates from both South and North America have competed or are still competing. One thing is for sure, we have two excellent annual conferences to look forward to.

Following up our seminar in Barcelona end of April an interesting workshop on Cluster Competitiveness Evaluation Toolbox is under preparation. The workshop will be held in Washington DC: the preliminary dates are the 21st or 22 of August. All TCI members will soon be invited to register for the maximum 40 seats. If you are interested in participating, you can already contact Franziska Blunck in Barcelona fblunck@competitivenes.org.

Finally, note that Sweden is both the Olympic Champion and the World Champion this year - (in ice hockey)!

Official launch of TCI Oceania (TCI-O)

TCI Oceania (TCI-O) has been launched officially during the regional conference. TCI-O will not be a separate entity from TCI, but will rather help to address and enlarge the network of TCI in the Oceania region.

Barcelona Symposium on Evaluation
